With only 7 weeks to go till the launch of my forthcoming show in London ‘A Festival of Colour’, I thought that it’s time I gave you a closer look at part of one of the collections that will make up part of the exhibition at La Galleria, Pall Mall which opens on October 5th.
Earlier this year I took a trip to India to the province of Rajasthan, the state that is most widely acclaimed as being synonymous with colour. Starting out from Udaipur, and with the formidable knowledge and contacts of my guide and good friend Jarka, together with our driver Tara, we embarked on an amazing road trip that took us 3000 km’s, sometimes on nothing more than dirt tracks, through nine major cities. Three of these cities were the holy cities of Pushkar, Agra and Varanasi. Thankfully Varanasi where they burn bodies on the river Ganges was the penultimate port of call…you need to prepare mentally for it!
The video is 4 minutes long but please do take the time to watch…It’s an experience in itself!
