Some months ago I was contacted by the Pastel Journal in Ohio in the US after they had seen my work in the Pastel Society Annual show in the Mall galleries and had then visited my website. They wished to conduct an interview with me and illustrate it with my work for the December issue […]
A young rock journalist in the UK appeared on the initial programme circulated by the BBC after Bowie’s death. When interviewed he said his father had always been a fan and that he himself, couldn’t at first understand what all the fuss was about, as his first experience of The Thin White Duke had been […]
A big thank you to everybody who took part in the poll to decide which one of the images from my recent show ‘A Festival of Colour’ should be released in print form. It was a close run poll, but “Sunstroke” won the contest slightly ahead of “Blue Bells”. So, by popular demand, “Sunstroke” is […]
Well it’s taken a while but now I‘m safely home back in Italy I have the time to get the photos up of the Private View! Thank you all so much for your support and attendance at the show. It was literally packed an hour into the opening and by the end of the evening […]
My life as an artist hasn’t only been sitting in France and Italy capturing the local landscapes, or traveling to far off exotic countries for inspiration for my collections. “Hey you’re in a bestseller!” said a friend and client as I walked into the Bourne Gallery for the Private View. “Really?” I replied thinking it was a joke.
“No, seriously,” said the client as he went and got the book that he had brought with him to show me. When I saw the name on the cover of the book, Portent by James Herbert, I knew it was serious as James was a collector of my work who had subsequently become a friend.
A few years ago, while living in Provence I had the dubious fortune to meet a fellow francophile and temporary resident Mr. Eric Idle, who is now counted amongst the many admirers and collectors of my work. Some six months ago he kindly consented to write a foreword for one of my exhibitions.
